What is the PTO?

Why does the PTO fundraise?

Who is a member?

We are a partnership between parents and educators. Together, we build community, support learning in and out of the classroom, and provide enrichment programs that benefit every student.

It costs about $750 per student to provide enrichment programs, teacher support, and community engagement events each year. The Annual Fund (starting in September) is our largest annual fundraiser. Without it, we'd lose programs that make SV shine. We also raise money with:

Spring auction

Grocery loyalty card programs

Dine & Donate

Swim for the Stars

Book Fair

Every parent and educator at Sun Valley are  members of the PTO.

How does the PTO build community?

The more involved we all are, the better our kids will do! That’s why we coordinate volunteers, community events (like movie night and the school dance), the end of year dance festival, grade level socials, and so much more. Every parent and educator is encouraged to attend our monthly PTO meetings on the first Wednesday of every month in the MPR at 7 p.m.
